Can a child die as a result of prolonged heat exposure in cars?

Overheated cars can cause children to suffer:

It is never safe to leave a child alone in a car, even for a few minutes.

When the car is parked in the shade, death from heatstroke can never happen.

Large cars take more time to heat up as compare to small cars.
